What
A proposed development of 124 duplexes plus commercial buildings.
Where
The east side of Lincoln Avenue & Pine Drive.
Who
KB Homes.
Why NOT
There are many reasons why this proposed development is an extremely bad idea. In short:
- It is out of keeping with the rural character of northeastern Douglas County.
- It will increase traffic on Pine Drive and reduced safety at an already dangerous intersection (Lincoln & Pine).
- It will have negative impacts on water resources, existing alluvial wells, wildlife habitat, light and noise pollution, etc.
- It could obstruct water flow below the Baldwin Dam.
- It sets a precedent for further dense development along Pine Drive between Mainstreet and Inspiration Drive.
